Update!

It's been a LONG time since I last blogged. Been really busy with my new job, working lots o' hours... it's good though, I really love my job. A lot to look forward too. Only 1 year and 4 months till I move too Alberta!

ANYWAYS. I just started working on a list of things I HATE. Lol yes I am working on a list of things I hate. It sounds so pessimistic I know, but there is so much to hate in this world. I will be following it up with a list of things I love. Just to make me seem like a less spiteful person.

Be back soon!

P.S. I just got twitter. You can find me at www.twitter.com/BigPoppaFitz

Today's Freshly Cut Beef: Zombies!!!

I saw Zombieland the other night. Fantastic! I loved it! I loved the Bill Murray cameo too! I'm a huge Zombie movie buff. Love 'em! That brings me to the topic of tonight's blog!

ZOMBIE FANTASY SCENARIO. Lol yes it sounds weird when you say it aloud right? Just imagine... you wake up one morning, stroll out of bed into the kitchen. You look in the refrigerator for some juice, but of course there's none left... ANYWAYS, you stop and start to wonder why it's so quiet. You start to walk around the house, looking in every room, but nobody's home. It's strange right? Well of course, it is Saturday. Maybe everybody's just out. You make some calls, but nobody's picking up. Now things are starting to get strange. That's when you hear a bang at the back door. You run back into the kitchen and what do you see at the door?! A BLOODY, WALKING CORPSE!

I don't know what it is about this post-apocalyptic zombie scenario that calls to me, but it just does! I would love to be put in a situation where that would happen to me. Maybe it's the loss of structure, and the ability to do whatever, and go wherever, whenever you want. I love the idea! Now of course I don't love the idea of being eaten alive by cannibals but I really think I'd stand a fighting chance. Whether I'm on my own or with a companion (I work better alone) it doesn't matter. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has this weird fantasy lol. So come on guys, admit it. I'm not the only one.

What do you guys think? How would you fair if you were put in that situation? I have 5 questions for those who would like to answer.

1. What would be your weapon of choice, and why? (1 and only 1)
2. What vehicle would you commandeer, and why?
3. Where would you stay (whether it's here or across the continent), and why? You have to name a specific place in a specific city.
4. If you could have one companion, who would it be, and why?
5. Which 1 rule would you survive by, and why?

Today's Freshly Cut Beef: Insomnia

Forgive me if my writing and/or spelling is sloppy. It's 5 in the AM right now... Can't sleep. Again. Been having problems sleeping for the last two weeks. Thought I'd throw a new post out there. Just finished watching American Beauty. Fantastic movie. Just fantastic. An absolute masterpiece.

Not sure why I can't sleep. Probably a combination of things. I can't figure out what seems to be wrong, but I can't help but feel like something's missing. Not sure what it is. I feel almost, constricted, bound, cornered. I shouldn't feel like there's things I can't do. I am an adult, right? Wrong. I am nothing but me. The term adult is but a mere title. But what use is a title that is given, and not earned? I shouldn't be labeled when I hit a certain age. I shouldn't be bound to what I can, or can't do by age. Age is just a state of mind, right? Wrong. Age is just a number. Something created by man. I don't believe I was put here to be counted on like a calendar. Or to follow a set path, or a certain set of rules.

I believe I was put here, to simply enjoy life.

Titles, labels, numbers. All useless. All created by us. To make ourselves feel better, and more secure. Was there not life before all of these simple markers? Now I know society is set up in a way where all of these things are necessary for co-existence... but why do things have to be this way? Why is greed such a powerful human emotion? Why can't everybody just be satisfied with being content?

Life is short. Why can't we just enjoy it now? We don't know how things are going to end (or when for that matter). You can't take your money with you when you die, and the same goes for all of your meager possessions. None of this matters. This computer, this bed, this room, these words. None of it. There is no purpose, but to enjoy life. Unfortunately things are not so simple. We all suffer from the human condition. What a horrible reality. There are ways to temporarily escape, but it is just a mere tease until we're finally set free. "What do you mean?" you ask? I don't quite know. What I do know is that something will happen one day. To each and every one of us. When? I have no idea. Just be patient.

So, maybe it's normal to feel the way I feel. Maybe it's not. I have no idea anymore. Nor, do I even want to know. Who really cares? It's not important. I just want to enjoy life. Unfortunately there are things that limit my enjoyment. Something I like to call "Life". Although life can be enjoyable, it can also be a pain. Life doesn't care about your plans. Your hopes, your dreams, your aspirations. Life happens. Deal with it. I have completely checked out. I feel almost as if there is nothing left to worry about. It could be worse right? Of course it could. It always could be...

I'll probably just pull an all-nighter. At this point, I'm passed the point of no return anyway. I continue to scratch my noggin'. Ugh...

Why am I here?!

Quick Hits Sept. 22nd!

Just a quick update. Still working on that "End of the world" blog. Trying to power through the book I'm reading on it... Big book though lol.

Saw "The Informant!" the other night. Terrible. Absolutely terrible lol. Matt Damon was fantastic but the movie was just play on awful. Hard to watch because it was so slow, and when it seemed like it was going to pick up, it didn't. The acting was great all-around though.

Habs won another pre-season game! 4-3 over Pittsburgh. Gionta, Cammalleri, and Gomez all played fantastic. The team is coming together well, and I don't think that Gainey is done making moves.

The other night, I watched "Lockdown: America's Deadliest Gangs" on National Geographic channel. Fantastic! A real scary look into prison life. It profiled the infamous "Pelican Bay" correctional facility, in Northern California. Scary stuff lol. Also watched something on that MS-13 gang. Really interesting aswell. You can actually torrent them both on www.isohunt.com and www.thepiratebay.org (the MS-13 doc. was called America's Deadliest Gang, but you can just type in MS-13 and just scroll down a bit).

Check them both out!

By the way! If you're in the market for a new PS3/360 game and you're not a big sports fan or Halo doesn't interest you (which it shouldn't, it's crap) pick up Need For Speed: Shift! I had some doubts about the game, since the last three NFS games were crap (Pro Street, Undercover, Carbon) but this one blew me away. More simulation, kind of like Gran Turismo, but with a serious crash engine, great graphics, nice car selection, and mods of course. I actually bought it, and I never buy racing games.

I finally tried the new COD WAW zombie map. Der Riese I think it's called? Pretty good. I was impressed. The best so far. But they still have those annoying fucking Hellhounds. Terrible addition. They added a new "Repair all windows" pickup. Cooooooool. The new level is spacious and gives you an incentive not to huddle in one corner the whole time cause there are three towers you have to power up in order to get the "Super" upgrade. I think it makes you're weapon UBER powerful. Not sure, never got it lol, I kept dying by like round 15.

ANYWAYS. Be back ASAP!

Something to think about, that's all.

Quick Hits Sept. 15th

Thank you, to all the new followers. Don't forget to comment!

Just sitting around...watching I love you, man. Great movie!

F.Y.I. the whole 365 photos in 365 days thing... photo a day doesn't sound like much but turns out I'm a busier person than I thought I was lol. That and Chateauguay isn't exactly oozing with inspiration and beauty. Meh.

I'll make another attempt at it in the near future.

Working on a new blog. Most likely will post it tonight...
I'll give you all a hint on what it's pertaining to...

THE END OF THE WORLD.

Today's Freshly Cut Beef: 365 Pics In 365 Days!

Let's face it. The world is a shitty place to live in this day and age. To change everybody's outlook I've come up with a resolution. I'm going to take 365 photos, in 365 days (starting tomorrow Sept. 14th 2009) and upload one every day to my flickr account.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/iamthefitz/

I'm going to show everybody that world is still an ok place, and that there's still some beauty left in it. I'm mostly doing this for myself, I want to see if I have the commitment to stick with it.
